Rapid development in Norman's rural areas threatens not only the environment, but individual's livelihood. The NALC works with the private land owners to protect environmentally significant lands in the Norman area.
Healthy watersheds not only ensure clean water, they provide habitat for native plants and animals, and other valuable resources. By focusing at the watershed level, the NACL works to safeguard drinking water and critical habitat.
The NALC is dedicated to conserving natural areas in and around Norman and protecting the ecological integrity of wildlife habitat, native plant communities, and scenic landscapes.
In order to fulfill its mission, the NALC works with private land owners, municipalities, conservationists, and other like-minded groups and individuals to responsibly manage Norman's natural heritage.
